Tinn R Mac Os X Download
Hi.
I'm yet new to R & Tinn-R.
Then, delight help me (though it'southward but a basic question).
one.And then far, i type my codes in text editor and then to run information technology, i copy & paste them into R console.
So naive correct? Therefore, is there any other sophisticated or easier way for me to exercise this?
2.How to run R codes using Tinn-R? I read the transmission, only end up to be confused how to do this.
Thanks

I've never actually liked Tinn-R. Granted I haven't used it extensively but it just seemed like too much piece of work to go working properly and I but didn't really like it. Anybody mind elaborating on what's nice nigh Tinn-R?
When I write code in Windows I usually just utilise the built in script editor in the R gui but it doesn't have very many features. Sometimes I'one thousand on my macbook and the gui for the macs is in my stance a lot meliorate and the editor works quite well. Typically I'm on my piece of work computer which runs linux so I merely run R through emacs using it as a script editor in i separate and as the R console in another using the ESS package. I like this way the most mainly considering I think I like emacs too much sometimes (but information technology does make writing lawmaking a lot easier).
There was no bug with older versions on Tinn-R, new ones create problems ;(
Things I like :
ane) Script highlights
ii) Interaction with R (sending line, selection , whole script)
3) Tin can gear up projects
iv) split screen - display multiple scripts side by sides for comparison
5) tin can bear witness hints (CTRL+D) shows input parameters for functions
At piece of work I accept Windows auto and so I use Tinn-R.
Many people don't like Tinn-R - i'thou sure information technology is because of the bug with new versions. Some people I know use Notepad++ and NppToR not certain if information technology will piece of work on Macs.
At habitation on my Ubuntu machine I utilise Rkward, I don't actually like emacs, or rather I'm scared by it .

Alright. It looks like it has some nice features. Only I don't really use windows machines enough to deal with the hassle. I might expect into notepad++ though. I've heard good things virtually it.
I use Rkward sometimes and it's pretty overnice but I still prefer Emacs w/ ESS. RCommander is alright too but once again... I prefer Emacs.
Annotation on emacs: Yeah, it can be quite scary. I tried learning it once and information technology was just too much to take in at one time. The 2d time though we were learning it in a coding class and so that made it more manageable. It's got a lot of prissy features and you can edit code really quickly if y'all know what you're doing. But the same can be said of other editors as well (Vim is pretty nice and I use it for small-scale edits). It's pretty bloated though and tin take a while to load then I just actually employ it if I'1000 going to be coding for quite a while.
I agree with Tart that the older versions of Tinn-R are better and easier to employ. The new version runs your code as a source file which I find very irritating!
One feature I like is that you can change the script highlighting and hints for different programming languages. I apply it for the Sweave syntax.
